My feet are my wings.
This series has as starting point the burial of Monsignor Romero and a
photograph that appeared in all the newspapers in the country, (March 24,
1980). An immense mountain of shoes that filled the entire street from the
cathedral to the square, an image that undoubtedly went around the world and that
remained engraved in the memory of all Salvadorans.
From there I begin a series of installations and photographs trying to reconstruct that image using the shoe as a symbolic element.
In some cases I also take a step through the art history.
